That's a lot of firewood! For anyone who doesn't know, working in the firewood is hard work. And it's pretty amazing how much it takes to keep the house warm, especially during a cold snap!

Around the house
Pic's of Logan
Logan ready for school one morning recently. I think it was blue and white day. There was an awards program this week and Logan was recognized for giving blood this year at the Red Cross blood drives. He also got a couple of other awards, including serving as treasurer of the student council.
This is Logan working on his eagle scout project, cleaning up and preserving a cemetery. They have put in a lot of hard work and it looks really nice.
Logan
Here's to Logan! What a great kid! He graduated from seminary with 100% perfect attendance for all four years of early morning seminary (along with each of his siblings who did the same!)! He has served in leadership capacities at church and in school, serving on the stake youth council and the stake youth conference committee. He was treasurer of the student body at school and did the morning announcements each school-day morning. He has participated in many church and school activities. He is finishing up his eagle scout project, too. He got a job at the movie theater and worked there, beginning at the end of the last school year and then all through last summer and this school year, paying for most of his own expenses. Tomorrow is his service of celebration at the high school and then graduation is next Saturday. Hard to believe this time has come! Hard to believe he will turn 18 this month! Where has the time gone?! Logan probably doesn't read my blog very often, but in case he ever checks in and reads this post, I want him to know how very proud I am of him for all the good things he has accomplished so far, and for the kind of person he is, and I want him to know that I love him very much!

Saturday visiting with the Family
We had a nice time relaxing on Kristen and Cory's front porch. We had almost everyone together except Logan who had to work.
Merry Grace with that sweet, little smile! I enjoyed getting to spend some time with Merry Grace playing outside, watching her ride her bike and playing red light - green light. What a treasure she is!
Paige being cute as ever! She loved catching lightning bugs with Papa and wanted to ride home with him. So cute!

To Grandma's House We Go
Kristen, Merry Grace, and Paige came up for a visit with Grandma this week. Paige really loved playing outside in the back yard!
It was sure fun to watch the little girls run, play, and ride bikes! We played the statue game in the back yard. Fun times!
We had a chance to celebrate a birthday with Kristen while she was here, too! Happy Birthday to a wonderful girl!
At Grandma Delia's house, - helping, sharing, enjoying being together and making good memories. Kristen was wonderful to take time to come up and help with so many needful things!

Mother's Day
We had a nice visit with our family over Mother's Day weekend. Kristen, Cory, and family, and Ethan and Lois all came home. Adam had come in earlier, so everyone was here. We enjoyed spending time together and helping Mama/Grandma who had not been feeling well.

Outside Shots
Chip and I took a walk outside this evening and saw that the sun was setting, so I ran back in to get my camera. I love to take pictures of the sun as it goes down behind our beautiful blue ridge mountains.
Just as I was finishing, I heard this airplane overhead and quickly snapped a shot. I just thought it looked cool.

Springtime at the Jarrells' House
Here are two of the square foot garden boxes that Adrian made for us. We've planted the seeds and now we're waiting to see the plants come up through the dirt.
We believe in birth seasons around here. Adrian already started his birthday season the weekend we had the whole family home, with a party for him and Ethan. Then on his actual birthday, he got more cake and another party. Pretty good, huh?!
