Outside Shots

Chip and I took a walk outside this evening and saw that the sun was setting, so I ran back in to get my camera. I love to take pictures of the sun as it goes down behind our beautiful blue ridge mountains.

Just as I was finishing, I heard this airplane overhead and quickly snapped a shot. I just thought it looked cool.

One more picture of our blooming trees outside. I love the apple tree full of pretty white blossoms, and the gorgeous red buds all over our property, and the dogwoods, and all the other pretty springtime trees and flowers.

Here are two of the square foot garden boxes that Adrian made for us. We've planted the seeds and now we're waiting to see the plants come up through the dirt.

We believe in birth seasons around here. Adrian already started his birthday season the weekend we had the whole family home, with a party for him and Ethan. Then on his actual birthday, he got more cake and another party. Pretty good, huh?!

Our red bud trees are blooming all around. We love seeing the red buds and dogwoods in the springtime - such a pretty time of year.

Saturday at the Park

We had the family together last weekend for birthday celebrations (Ethan and Adrian) and enjoyed taking a walk together at the new trail. The new trail has been a fun place to go. Adrian and I (and a few times Adam or Logan have gone with us) to walk and get a little exercise, and we usually take our little dog, Chip, so he can get some exercise, too. I've biked it a couple of times, and Adrian and I even took the canoe down the river a few weeks ago. Here's our group at the water's edge, skipping rocks and just having fun. It was sure nice to have everyone together. We sure have a great family and we love them all so much.
